You need not write and finish the entire speech however, but jotting down a few ideas for the speech could help immensely once you start working on it.

Experiment on ideas as you brainstorm. Not sure how to begin? Try starting with concepts like fidelity, commitment, family, love and other relevant themes. From here, you can start conceptualizing the content of your speech.

Get assistance from your family. Whether they’re from your side or from your bride’s side, you will surely find nuggets of interesting materials which you can use for your speech. Maybe one of your family members knows a few tricks in public speaking, it is advisable to seek their help.

Limit the length of your speech. Although you are the groom and your wedding guests would appreciate hearing a few words from you, it would still be very courteous to limit the length of your speech to anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes.
