Blink: Did she or didn’t she see a murderer leaving the scene of the crime? That’s the main query while gorgeous and strong willed musician Stowe, who is blind. Tale depends on viewer�s acceptance of screenwriter’s gimmick of “retroactive vision,” a post-surgery reaction. Best thing in film is Stowe; alternatively this strolls onto the too recognizable blind-female-in-danger region. Cast includes Madeleine Stowe, Aidan Quinn, Laurie Metcalf, James Remar, Peter Friedman, Bruce A. young, Matt Roth, and Paul Dillon.  (105 minutes, 1994)

The Protector: Bizare mix of a kung fu film and a boy-and his pup tale, this inexpensive looking prduction from Thailand gets sentimental while a youthful martial artist has his cherished elephant stolen by thugs and transported to Australia. Following the poor men there, he hooks up with a Thaiborn Australian investigator and does battle with wicked gangs and others in an attempt to repossess his little Dumbo. Cast includes Tony Jaa, Petchtai Wongkamlao, Bongkoj Khongmalai, Nathan Jones, Johnny Nguyen, Xing Jing, and Damian De Montemas. (81 minutes, 2005)

The Guru: Harmless comedy in reference to an Indian dance professor (Mistry) who comes to America desiring popularity and fortune in the movie industry. As an alternative, he lands a job in a porno film, is befriended by its gorgeous megastar (who’s truly an “excellent gal” leading a triple life), then accidentally gets to be a star as the “expert of sex.” Some ludicrous gags, a likable leading guy, and excellent joke performances by Graham and Tomei improve this choppy feel-good flick. Cast includes Cast includes Heather Graham, Marisa Tomei, Jimi Mistry, Michael McKean, Christine Baranski, Rob Morrow, Emil Marwa, Malachy McCourt, Ajay Naidu, and Anita Gillette.  (91 minutes, 2003)

Curdled: Curdled is a black comedy in regards to youthful female addicted to the how’s and why’s of vicious crimes, who gets a job scrubbing up after them on the Post-Forensic Tidying Service. Cast includes William Baldwin, Angela Jones, Bruce Ramsay, Lois Chiles, Barry Corbin, Mel Gorham, Tulip Fuentes, Kelly Preston, and Carmen Lopez. Grisly (94 minutes, 1996)

The Great Man Votes: Straightforward, authentic, admirable film of Barrymore, once a professor, now a divorced man, quarreling for custody of his youngsters. Cast includes John Barrymore, Peter Holden, Virginia Weidler, Donald MacBride, and William Demarest. (112 minutes, 1939)

The Shadow: Lamont Cranston, having lived a life of ethical degradation, is “reborn” as a singleminded crimefighter with the talent to haze gentlemen’s minds. This adaptation of the venerable mush novels and cherished stereo show (carried to the theaters before in the late 1930s, and in a 1940 serial comes frustratingly close to performing, although flounders. Cranston is both inscrutable and boring. Incredible production layout and wonderful outcomes get lost in a film that keeps the viewer at Ann’s magnitude all the way through. What a waste of an awesome supporting cast! Cast includes Alec Baldwin, John Lone, Penelope Ann Miller, Peter Boyle, Ian McKellen, Tim Curry, Jonathan Winters, and Sab Shimono.  (105 minutes, 1994)

Hannibal Rising: Hannibal as a youngster at the end of WW2 he had to watch when Nazi collaborators abused his younger sis! As a youthful adult (Dlliel), empowered by his Japanese mothers sibling, he hunts down the killers and imposes cruel reprisal. Handsome however ponderous, dnll and self-vital, albeit on no account as gory as may be anticipated. Cast includes Gaspard Ulliel, Rhys Ifans, Gong Li, Helena Lia Tachovska, Dominic West, Aaron Thomas, Kevin McKidd, and Richard Brake. (121 minutes, 2007)
